Whispers of scandal, hidden passages, and eerie occurrences within the house lead Ivy to unearth a trove of forgotten journals, clandestine letters, and faded photographs. These clues reveal a tragic tale of forbidden love, illicit births, and cunning deceptions involving her ancestors, the Whitakers, and the powerful, secretive Dubois family. As Ivy meticulously pieces together the past, she discovers that the "shadows" of Marigold House are far from mere ghosts; they are living, dangerous forces still intent on keeping these profound secrets buried.
