The Missing Session MTA
A Psychological Thriller of Memory, Manipulation, and a Murder That Never Happened

About this book:

In a gripping psychological thriller that blurs the lines between memory and manipulation, Dr. Mara Linden, a meticulous trauma therapist, receives an anonymous USB drive containing a chilling audio file. The recording features her own unmistakable voice guiding a patient named Ivy through a confession—a cold case murder at Winslow Lake, a place steeped in Mara's own buried childhood trauma. As more deepfake recordings surface, meticulously designed to implicate Mara in both past and present crimes, her career, reputation, and sanity begin to unravel, forcing her into a desperate fight to clear her name.

With the police and State Medical Board closing in, Mara uncovers a sinister plot orchestrated by her revered mentor, Dr. Julian Halden. Using sophisticated voice cloning technology and intimate knowledge of Mara's confidential records and personal vulnerabilities, Halden has framed her to cover up his own deadly, off-the-books "immersive exposure" therapy that resulted in multiple patient deaths. "The Missing Session" plunges readers into a high-stakes battle against a calculating psychopath, where every piece of evidence, every memory, and even Mara's own voice, becomes a weapon in a fight for truth, justice, and the very essence of her identity.
