The Forgotten Portals MTA
A Fantasy Epic of Time, Destiny, and Courage

About this book:

In "The Forgotten Portals," the tranquil scholar Eldor unearths an ancient map in his quiet village of Mirith, revealing the existence of legendary portals that bind time and destiny. When shadowy "Harbingers of the Sundering" attack, seeking to control these portals and impose a singular, sterile fate on Alera, Eldor is thrust from his academic life into a desperate quest. Joined by his family, the remorseful warrior Dara, the enigmatic sorceress Lira, and the loyal nomad leader Rokan, Eldor embarks on a perilous journey across Alera to understand and protect the Forgotten Portals. Each portal challenges him with unique tests of perception, truth, foresight, harmony, and creation, slowly transforming him into a true "Keeper of the Balance."

As Eldor unravels the Portals' intricate magic and the true nature of the Harbingers, he discovers their leader, the Architect of the Sundering, is a corrupted primal force that broke an ancient oath of temporal balance. In a climactic confrontation at the Heart Portal, the nexus of all timelines, Eldor makes the ultimate sacrifice, merging his essence with the Portal to re-establish Alera's harmony and seal a catastrophic temporal rift. This act, however, tears the veil between worlds, forever linking Alera to the cosmic flow of destiny. Dara, inheriting Eldor’s Temporal Anchor and his legacy, leads the new Keepers in a patient, meticulous quest to heal the lingering temporal scars across Alera.
