The Silent Guest MTA
A Psychological Thriller of Secrets Within the Walls

About this book:

In "The Silent Guest," the Harper family's dream of a fresh start in their new home at 17 Maple Lane quickly devolves into a chilling nightmare. Alice, Daniel, and their children, Julia and Max, are initially delighted by their charming suburban house, but subtle disturbances soon begin to plague them. Flickering lights, misplaced objects, and inexplicable cold spots are initially dismissed as an old house settling, but as Max begins to communicate with an unseen "friend" and a terrifying message appears on Julia's mirror, the family realizes they are not alone. Their logical explanations crumble as the disturbances escalate, revealing a sinister, unseen presence that is growing bolder and more possessive.

As the family grapples with escalating fear and growing distrust amongst themselves, Alice uncovers a hidden diary revealing the tragic story of Clara, a young girl who suffered a "wasting sickness" and was trapped within the house decades ago by a malevolent entity. This revelation forces the Harpers to confront the chilling truth: the house is not just haunted, but a predatory entity is actively preying on vulnerable children. With Max becoming increasingly attuned to the "silent guest," the Harpers must unravel the full history of 17 Maple Lane and confront the powerful, possessive spirit before it claims their family forever, transforming their dream home into a terrifying, inescapable prison.
