Following Damian’s breadcrumbs leads Mara to a forgotten Deep Sight facility, the origin of the technology that murdered Elara’s mother, Anya Crane, and to the shocking revelation that Mara herself is Anya's daughter, her life engineered by Crane and the DMS to be an unwitting tool in their deception.

Armed with this devastating truth and the uncorrupted Deep Sight logs, Mara, with the reluctant help of ruthless black-market salvager Silas, devises a daring plan: to unleash a "Confession Protocol," a neural virus embedded in the data that will cause cognitive dissonance and mental overload in the DMS and anyone attempting to suppress the truth. The plan culminates in a chaotic showdown as Mara floods the public networks with the evidence, causing the collapse of Crane Corp and the fracturing of the DMS.
