About this book:

The Memory Architect In a futuristic Neo-London, Memory Architect Mara Lin is a master at crafting and implanting memories for her elite clientele. But when powerful industrialist Felix Crane requests she implant a hypothetical catastrophic future into his daughter, environmental activist Elara, to prevent her “misguidedness,” Mara uncovers a chilling truth: Elara’s past has already been manipulated, her mother’s death in a car accident possibly a fabrication. As Mara delves deeper, seeking answers in the fragmented memories of others and her own unsettling flashes of a shadowy figure by water, she exposes a conspiracy involving Crane Corp, a dangerous experimental technology, and a shadowy government agency known as the Department of Mnemonic Security (DMS) and its covert unit, the CMOU.

Hunted by the CMOU and realizing her own idyllic childhood might be a carefully constructed lie, Mara goes off-grid, seeking out the enigmatic Anti-Mind Collective, a group who believes all memory engineering is a violation of the soul. They introduce her to the concept of Damian, a rogue memory engineer who dismantled his own mind to escape manipulation, leaving behind cryptic clues to expose the "Architects of Lies." Following Damian’s breadcrumbs leads Mara to a forgotten Deep Sight facility, the origin of the technology that murdered Elara’s mother, Anya Crane, and to the shocking revelation that Mara herself is Anya's daughter, her life engineered by Crane and the DMS to be an unwitting tool in their deception.

Armed with this devastating truth and the uncorrupted Deep Sight logs, Mara, with the reluctant help of ruthless black-market salvager Silas, devises a daring plan: to unleash a "Confession Protocol," a neural virus embedded in the data that will cause cognitive dissonance and mental overload in the DMS and anyone attempting to suppress the truth. The plan culminates in a chaotic showdown as Mara floods the public networks with the evidence, causing the collapse of Crane Corp and the fracturing of the DMS. Though seemingly obliterated in a final, desperate attack by the DMS, Mara survives, her identity forged in the fires of betrayal and reclamation. She emerges a changed woman, no longer crafting memories, but guiding a reeling society to embrace the messy, authentic sum of its own history, having exposed the dangerous future where lives are designed and secrets can’t stay buried.
