However, a deeper conspiracy unfolds: a rogue faction, the Axiom Initiative, led by Voss's treacherous former protégé, Elias Thorne, whose ambition has inadvertently armed the Hegemony with a corrupted prototype of the Paradox Engine. This two-front war culminates in a confrontation with the Architects, ancient elemental beings of pure temporal order who seek to rewrite the genesis of the universe itself.
