Echoes of the Last Symphony MTA
A Historical Mystery of Music and Intrigue

About this book:

In the heart of 19th-century Vienna, a city famed for its music and secrets, Johanna Müller, a grieving luthier's daughter, uncovers a cryptic letter hidden in her father’s cherished violin. The message, from the brilliant but reclusive composer Leopold von Trapp, reveals a shocking truth: his final, revolutionary "Symphony of Echoes" was stolen, and his disappearance was no accident. Driven by a desire to clear her father’s name and honor Leopold’s legacy, Johanna embarks on a perilous quest, navigating the glittering concert halls and shadowed alleyways of Vienna, aided by a flamboyant composer, Franz, and a meticulous scholar, Julian.

Her investigation unearths a web of artistic intrigue, implicating the powerful and conservative Maestro Eduard Steiner, who ruthlessly suppressed Leopold's genius and subtly plagiarized his work. As Johanna delves deeper, she discovers her own parents’ secret involvement with a clandestine society, the Keepers of Resonance, guardians of traditional music whose rigid doctrines led them to deem Leopold's symphony a "heresy." With a hidden journal, encoded musical clues, and a defiantly flawed violin crafted by her father for Steiner, Johanna prepares for a dramatic public confrontation, culminating in a triumphant performance that will expose Steiner’s deception and shatter the facade of Vienna's musical elite.
