Echoes of Yesterday MTA
A Time-Slip Romance Across Two Worlds

About this book:

In "Echoes of Yesterday," conservator Isla Jensen arrives at the dilapidated Fernleigh Manor, anticipating a routine restoration project. However, she quickly discovers the manor holds centuries of secrets, particularly around the mysterious Ashcombe family. Her world is irrevocably altered when she finds an antique locket, a relic that inexplicably draws her into vivid, immersive time-slip visions of Marian Ashcombe, a spirited Victorian woman tragically constrained by societal expectations. With the help of charming historian Daniel Rowe, Isla unravels Marian’s heartbreaking story of forbidden love with Elias Thorne, a scandalous affair brutally suppressed by her tyrannical father and brother, leading to Elias’s murder and Marian’s tragic, forced marriage and eventual despair-driven demise.

As Isla delves deeper, aided by Marian’s hidden journal and the poignant letters of her loyal sister Clara, the full scope of the Ashcombe family’s cruelty and desperate cover-ups comes to light, including the chilling revelation of Marian’s secret, concealed burial within Fernleigh itself. The locket, a symbolic manifestation of Marian's and Clara's enduring hope for truth, guides Isla through these harrowing discoveries, culminating in Marian and Elias finding their transcendent peace. Beyond uncovering historical tragedy, Isla and Daniel's shared mission ignites an unexpected and profound romance, leading them to restore Fernleigh Manor not just physically, but spiritually, as a museum dedicated to its complex human history. Their journey culminates in a joyous new beginning, as they embrace a future together at Fernleigh, welcoming a new life into the ancient manor, forever intertwining their story with the echoes of yesterday.
