Summer in Atlanta MTA
A Love Story

About this book:

Clara, a graphic designer new to Atlanta, spends a restless summer seeking connection beyond her predictable routine. A chance encounter at the Virginia‑Highland Summerfest introduces her to Julian, a quiet volunteer with a passion for urban gardening. Their conversation over sketches and community projects sparks a mutual attraction, and Clara’s decision to volunteer on a BeltLine garden prep day brings them together again, laying the foundation for a relationship built on shared values of creativity, sustainability, and genuine care for the city.

As their bond deepens, Julian and Clara navigate both personal and professional worlds—collaborating on a sustainable‑living campaign for Clara’s agency while exploring Atlanta’s parks, museums, jazz clubs, and historic neighborhoods together. They face significant challenges: Julian’s family opposes his decision to leave his engineering firm for full‑time work with the nonprofit Edible Atlanta, and a developer threatens to seize the West End orchard they have nurtured. Through honest communication, mutual support, and a joint public campaign that showcases the orchard’s community value, they overcome doubt, secure the land, and win familial approval, culminating in Julian’s heartfelt declaration of love amid the budding trees.

Their love reaches its peak when Julian proposes at Piedmont Park—the place where their connection first ignited—leading to a joyful engagement embraced by both families. They plan a summer wedding that reflects their dedication to nature and community, exchanging vows beneath a floral arch overlooking Lake Clara Meer amidst friends and loved ones. After marrying, they settle into a renovated West End bungalow, continue to grow Edible Atlanta’s gardens, and pursue Clara’s own design studio focused on social impact. The story closes with the couple rooted in Atlanta’s life and landscape, having transformed their individual Peachtree Dreams into a shared, enduring reality.
