Robert Cleveland Schiff, often referred to as Robert C. Schiff Sr., was born in 1923, making him seven years Jack's junior. He began his own insurance career in 1945, after graduating from college, initially as an agent. In 1950, at the ages of 34 and 26 respectively, John Jack Schiff and Robert Cleveland Schiff, along with two other independent insurance agents, Chester T.
